We’re at Snowbird for the week. So Project: Summer will be on temporary hiatus. My bad.

Today’s post requires a bit of a backstory. Every time I ride in Cooper’s car (left), I beg and beg him to open the sun roof. However, he always refuses, saying it lets in too much light, which hurts his eyes and tells me to ask him on a day when it’s not sunny out. So tonight as we were on our way to the bowling alley in Corinth, I seized the opportunity and asked him if I could open the sunroof, as the sun had already set. Stubbornly, he refused at first but finally gave in and opened it for me. When he tried to close it, however, was when the issue arose. It wouldn’t close. As a matter of fact, as he would push the button forward to close it, it would move in the opposite direction. So the picture you see above is him and Caleb trying their hardest to push the sunroof closed. All the while Cooper was yelling at me, “Do you see what happens?! You made me open this thing, and now it’s broken!” I couldn’t do much but laugh hysterically and attempt to apologize. Luckily, they FINALLY got it closed and made me vow never to ask him to open it again.
This morning we went to my aunt’s house in Jackson, TN and then my mom, two aunts, and I all went to get massages. Mine was absolutely wonderful, for the record. Then we went back to my aunt’s house and played Just Dance 2 on the Wii for a while (I went beastmode and dominated everyone. Just sayin’). Then we left and tonight me and “the boys” went to Corinth. It was Cooper’s first time to eat at Ryan’s, to which he very reluctantly agreed to after a lot of argument. Stubborn, that boy. Then we went to Gamestop, where Caleb and I felt slightly out of place. We’re not the gaming type, you see. We made an impromptu trip to Wal-Mart after discovering Cooper forgot to bring socks, went bowling, where I did atrociously, and stopped by Dairy Queen after for blizzards. Awesome day with some of my favorite people. Life’s good. :)

Guess what I’m the very, very proud new owner of and am typing on right this very second! I am so ridiculously excited. I’ve been dreaming about owning one of these forever. Thank you, kind people who gave me graduation money. :)
In other news, I’ve spent the rest of the day packing. We leave Sunday afternoon for Snowbird, which I’m also ridiculously excited about. I mean, it is Friday, after all. According to Rebecca Black, this is due cause for excitement.
This would be Caleb spraying Victoria’s Secret PINK spray in the movie theater when we saw Insidious tonight. We walked in and our first observation was that we were the only two in there, much to our excitement (I tend to talk and laugh slightly loud and get shushed in movies a lot. So I was happy at the prospect of not having to worry about disturbing anyone else. I think he just thought it was funny that no one else was there.). Our second observation was that there was a very odd smell lingering. So, me being the believer in always being prepared that I am, when he jokingly asked if I had any febreze in my purse to spray, I said, “Well no, but I have some perfume in here if you want to use it.” So the immediate area around where we were sitting smelled like Victoria’s Secret for the rest of the night. Which, granted, was a major improvement.
In other news, the movie was pretty good, certainly better than I was expecting. I also got my bangs cut today, which I’m pretty stoked about. All in all, it was a pretty nice day. :)
I saw this today in Wal-Mart and just about had a fit. I loooove Hello Kitty. I considered buying it, but the “bubble gum” scent in question did not smell quite so nice. And there’s just not a whole lot that I love enough to smell weird for. But yes, potentially little known fact about me: I have a Hello Kitty obsession. I mean, look at her. She’s just cute. What can I say?
Today we had a cookout at my aunt’s house in honor of my cousin before his deployment, and I did this to a poor piece of vegetable pizza. The thing is, I really like the idea of vegetable pizza, always have. But I really, really don’t like most of the toppings. Fact about me: I cannot stand eating crunchy veggies. If I’m eating something and crunch down into a pepper or onion or something similar, it literally makes me gag. Don’t know what it is, I just can’t stand the texture. So yes, I destroyed the pizza. But it was delicious after I took most of the veggies off, ha. I did leave the tomatoes, so I feel some credit should be bestowed to me.
I had a really great time sitting around, talking with some of my family that I don’t see that often. It made me really think about how thankful I am for the family in my life, the ones that I’m actually related to and the ones that have basically taken me in as their own. I am definitely blessed, I must say.
Okay, that’s enough sappiness for one day. ;)
Boring day to end all boring days today. Folded some laundry, went to Wal-Mart, and gave my dogs a bath. Took this while drying Mimi, the “big” dog. She’s a maltese, big only in comparison to the puppy, a chihuahua/maltese/feist mix. Neither are fans of being bathed. I think the excitement’s written all over her face. Trust me, babe, I don’t like it either.

This is me. The name’s Bre. The purpose of this blog is to document a picture a day of the happenings of my life over the summer. I thought it would be best to start off with a little information about me.
I’m an aspiring hairstylist and will (fingers crossed) be going to cosmetology school in the fall. I feel that I am equal parts girly girl and nerd. I love all things beauty related - hair products, make up, clothes, jewelry, etc. I also love books and learning and Harry Potter and am usually rather awkward. I also love to sing and am a huge fan of music, any and all…for the most part. The rest will, hopefully, be revealed in the keeping up of this project.
Oh, and yes, that picture was taken whilst I was standing in my bathroom. And yes, those are a ton of hair products in the closet behind me. Don’t judge.
